Models

Fingerprint

User information is stored in internal memory only. Authentication may or may not require the user's number to be entered depending on the mode of operation. If entered first, the fingerprint is used as verification of the number, otherwise an auto-match feature uses only the fingerprint.

Smartcard

User information is stored both internally and on a smartcard (without the user's fingerprint). Authentication may or may not require the user's number to be entered depending on the mode of operation. If entered, the number is used as verification of the smartcard, otherwise only the smartcard is used.

Combined

User information is stored either internally and/or on a smartcard depending upon the mode of operation. If stored internally, the operation is the same as above. If stored only on a smartcard, the authentication time is increased because the user's fingerprint is transferred to the internal memory first.
